About this event

During this session we will focus on how Ageing Better was able to involve people through a range of digital methods, enabling people to share their stories and "work with us" via online platforms and various media modes.

When the Covid pandemic hit we quickly had to navigate how to get our people online so we could continue our involvement and participation work in true co-production style, engaging people in meaningful and impactful ways. So, what did the Ageing Better partner areas do to achieve just that and carry this through to the end of the programme?

Collaborating in digitally inclusive ways made a real difference to our outcomes, and we would love to share how you can make that transition happen or build on what you already do.

Will we spend some time considering the key themes and exploring top tips to involving people in accessible and inclusive ways online and within a mix of digital places and spaces.

We will signpost you to resources within our toolkit and also have an interactive discussion about what digital inclusion needs to look like in practice when working with the people who access our services, projects & activities and how to get people online.

Ageing Better was a seven-year programme funded by The National Lottery Community Fund ending in March 2022. The bedrock of this programme was a co-production, citizen led test and learn approach.

The Good Practice Mentor project enables us to share our learning with you so that you can glean from our experiences and the amazing outcomes that came out of working in this way, including the challenges we faced.

The Stronger Together co-production toolkit is a rich, diverse, and accessible resource born out of an 18-month project sharing the co-production expertise of 14 Ageing Better programme areas from across England, under one umbrella.

The toolkit offers 12 distinct co-production themes with hundreds of stories, tools, and "how to" guides to support your co-production journey, regardless of what context you are coming from.
