Solidary night for the people in Gaza

A call to those living in Valencia 📢

On Wednesday 10 September 2025, I'm organising a solidarity night for the population of Gaza, in desperate need of help.

We can all feel a little helpless as the suffering unfolds, but this is an opportunity to learn about and support a few of the NGOs on the ground making a difference, for the better, in people's lives.

3 organisations will be highlighted. One Palestinian (The Gaza Sunbirds), one Israeli (Road to Recovery) and 1 co-founded by an Israeli and a Palestinian (Clean Shelter).

These organisations, their staff, their volunteers, show us how human solidarity crosses checkpoints and transcends borders. That despite what you may be lead to believe, Israelis and Palestinians can, and do already, work together and that a lasting, mutually respectful peace, is possible. These people are inspiring, guiding lights in times of darkness.

Come from 7pm to mingle. You can order drinks and tapas at the bar. At around 8pm, I'll make a short 20 minute presentation highlighting the NGOs. If you wish to make a donation, you can do so directly via their websites. All information will be provided at the event.

Bring your friends. No politics, no debates, just people united in human solidarity 🫶🤝

A los residentes de Valencia 📢

El miércoles 10 de septiembre de 2025, voy a organizar una noche solidaria para la población de Gaza, que necesita ayuda desesperadamente.

Todos podemos sentirnos un poco impotentes ante el sufrimiento que se está produciendo, pero esta es una oportunidad para conocer y apoyar a algunas de las ONG que trabajan sobre el terreno y que están marcando una diferencia positiva en la vida de las personas.

Se destacarán tres organizaciones. Una palestina (The Gaza Sunbirds), otra israelí (Road to Recovery) y otra cofundada por un israelí y un palestino (Clean Shelter).

Estas organizaciones, su personal y sus voluntarios nos muestran cómo la solidaridad humana traspasa los controles y trasciende las fronteras. Que, a pesar de lo que se nos quiera hacer creer, los israelíes y los palestinos pueden trabajar juntos, y de hecho ya lo hacen, y que es posible una paz duradera y respetuosa para ambas partes. Estas personas son inspiradoras, son luces que nos guían en tiempos de oscuridad.

Ven a partir de las 19:00 h para charlar. Puedes pedir bebidas y tapas en el bar. Alrededor de las 20:00 h, haré una breve presentación de 20 minutos en la que destacaré las ONG. Si deseas hacer una donación, puedes hacerlo directamente a través de sus sitios web. Toda la información se proporcionará en el evento.
