Waterstones Children's Book Festival in Lincoln.

Meet Phil Earl, one of the most highly regarded writers for children today, when joins us to talk about the first book in his hilarious new series, Finn’s Epic Fails which introduces Finn N. O. Hope and his life of epic failure! Perfect for readers of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Loki and Tom Gates. As part of this interactive event Phil will introduce the characters and share his inspirations behind his books, as well as telling us what inspired him to start writing and where ideas for stories come from.

Phil Earle was born and raised in the north of England, and is the author of numerous best-selling, award-winning books for children and teenagers. He has worked as a carer, a dramatherapist, a bookseller and a publisher, and loves talking at schools and festivals around the world. His novel When The Sky Falls won the British Book Award for Children’s Fiction, was voted The Times Children’s Book of the Year and was shortlisted for the prestigious Carnegie Medal. He lives on the side of a very steep hill with his wife, their five children and two dogs.

Please note: the book and ticket options include a copy of Finn’s Epic Fails (RRP £7.99), available for collection at the event.

Please especially note that ticket holders 16 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult (who must also purchase a ticket) in order to gain entry to the venue and to remain in the venue for the duration of the performance. The venue reserves the right to refuse entry to unaccompanied ticket holders who are 16 years of age and under.
