ePSIC User Science Meeting 2020

About this event

The electron Physical Sciences Imaging Centre (ePSIC) at Diamond Light Source will host an online User Science Meeting on Wednesday September 9th 2020.

This one-day meeting will be an opportunity for ePSIC users to share their innovative scientific research with both the ePSIC user base and a wider scientific community.

The event will be run online (via Zoom), between 9.50am and 4pm. Attendance is open to anyone interested in hearing about the latest research from ePSIC, and registration is required.

The ePSIC Users Science Meeting 2020 will primarily be a collection of invited research talks and time for discussions. Confirmed speakers include:

  • Sarah Haigh (The University of Manchester)
  • Peng Wang (Nanjing University)
  • Ryan Wang (UCL)
  • Abigail Ackerman (Imperial College London)
  • Sean Collins (University of Leeds)
  • Tiarnan Doherty (University of Cambridge)
  • Manfred Schuster (Johnson Matthey)
  • Chen Huang (University of Oxford)
  • Sarah Haigh (University of Manchester)

Speakers will talk about their research at ePSIC, with topics such as scanning electron diffraction, electron ptychography, in-situ heating and multi-scale correlative imaging between the electron microscopes and X-ray beamlines. The program will also include an update of new and future ePSIC capabilities, along with a question and answer session with ePSIC staff.
