Overview

Dive into fun and friendship at the Inclusive Watersports Launch Event—everyone’s welcome to make waves!

Join us at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre for the launch of Equal Adventure Inclusive Paddlesports Club— which is designed to break down barriers and support more people to enjoy kayaking, canoeing and paddleboarding.

This event celebrates access, choice and confidence on the water. It is specifically designed for people who may face barriers to taking part in paddlesports, including disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, neurodivergent participants, and those who simply need a more supportive environment.

Why This Event Is Different

The EA Inclusive Paddlesports Launch Event is built around inclusion, flexibility and individual support.

You can:

  • Take part at your own pace
  • Try activities in a calm, friendly setting
  • Choose how much (or how little) you do
  • Watch first, join later, or just come along to learn more

There is no pressure to perform, no requirement to be confident on the water, and no expectation that everyone participates in the same way.

Inclusive Paddlesport Activities

Activities will run on a rolling basis and may include:

  • Sit-on-top kayaking – stable, accessible kayaks that are easier to get on and off
  • Canoeing – open boats that can be shared with a friend, carer or instructor
  • Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) – with seated and kneeling options available

All activities are fully supported by qualified instructors and additional helpers.

No previous paddlesports experience is needed.
You do not need to be a confident swimmer.
Buoyancy aids are provided for everyone.
