Summary: Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) is a critical aspect of line management. By the end of the training, you will be able to:
- Appreciate and understand your responsibilities as a line manager;
- Recognise your legal requirements;
- Provide tools and confidence to develop an inclusive high performing team;
- Know where to go for further knowledge, support and/or help for you and your team.
Structure: All aspects of EDI are important, but to help you gain the most from this course, we have split this session into three segments:
- Essential Knowledge
- Line managing inclusively
- Leading diverse teams
Length: 3 hours with a break after every hour (so 2 breaks in total).
Booking: If you book a place, please know that you are committing to attend. Booking a place is the first step to demonstrate that you are dedicated to your role and making Defra a great place to work. The next step is to actually attend the training and try to be attentive and focused during the session. Please make sure to complete all the steps as the facilitators have taken time and care to create this module for all of you.
After: After the session you will be sent the slides and a toolkit with practical tools as well as further information on how to be a great line manager.
