Event Details

Join the EQUATOR GoodReports campaign - it's time for action!

EQUATOR are delighted to invite you to register for a unique pre-congress workshop, hear about recent innovations and share ideas.  The objective of the morning is to develop a practical action plan for journals and publishers to improve the quality of scientific reporting, peer review and publications.

Doug Altman, EQUATOR team members, and Headache Managing Editor Jason Roberts will lead a morning workshop exploring practical ways to improve reporting in biomedical journals.

We will hear the perspectives and experiences of leading journal editors, publishers and funders all concerned with improving the quality of research publications by making and enforcing meaningful changes in their policies and processes.

We will explore recent innovations, share and discuss experiences and work together to produce a draft a practical one-page EQUATOR GoodReports action plan for journals and publishers.

In the afternoon, Headache Managing Editor Jason Roberts and EQUATOR's David Moher will lead a complementary workshop "Predatory Journals. What can legitimate journals do to stop them?"

Both workshops are presented proudly in association with the International Congress on Peer Review and Scientific Publication, September 10-12, 2017, Chicago, Illinois, USA

On the evening of Monday 11 September, Patrick Bossuyt will give the 8th Annual EQUATOR Lecture
