Erasmus Plus: the Basics

Erasmus Plus: the Basics

Online event
Tuesday, Apr 14, 2026 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm GMT+1
Overview

The UK will join Erasmus Plus in 2027. This webinar will provide essential information about the programme and how to get involved in it.

The UK is joining the Erasmus Plus programme in 2027. This is a huge opportunity for young people and educators everywhere. Funding will be available to schools, FE colleges, adult education providers, youth groups and sports clubs, as well as universities and many other kinds of organisations.

But there's a challenge: how can we all make Erasmus+ a success for this country, and so ensure that the UK continues to participate in the next programme period 2028-34? Preparation needs to start now.

Some organisations have a lot of previous experience and will be ready to apply for funding. But many others need information, advice and support in order to get started.

Whether you are new to Erasmus+, or already an expert, this webinar is your starting-point! It's all about sharing information and planning ahead.

The webinar will run for an hour and a half, and will include:

  • General introduction to Erasmus Plus: scope and overall priorities of the programme; the three Key Actions; mobility vs. partnership projects; how it all works
  • The state of play regarding UK participation: what we know so far
  • Expectations for the 2028-34 programme
  • Finding your international partners
  • Breakout rooms for a deeper dive into YOUTH, SCHOOLS, UNIVERSITIES and FE/VOCATIONAL projects
  • Cross-sector possibilities: no need to think in silos!
  • InterCom plans for an information and support network

We will run the same webinar on 3 separate dates. Attendance is via Zoom.

This is a free event, but voluntary contributions will be greatly appreciated because we are not receiving any funding for providing this service.

This event is in support of the National Campaign for Erasmus Plus. It is independently organised and does not represent the views of the UK government, the UK National Agency or the European Commission.

InterCom is an initiative of the Centre for International Learning and Leadership (CILL).
