Great conversations happen outdoors, we’re inviting you to join us for a walk in nature, to meet likeminded people doing things differently.

The Driftwood Spars

“It is only ideas gained from walking that have any worth”, said German philosopher Nietzsche.Taking a walk to clear your head is something that all of us do - even Beethoven, Aristotle and Steve Jobs regularly walked for a few hours everyday. But why is walking actually good for us? What’s the secret?Various studies have proven that walking increases blood flow to the brain, reduces stress, improves memory, boosts mood and raises creativity. Plus, it gives us a chance to get up away from the computer, and enjoy serendipitous connections. With this in mind, we’d love to invite you to the Escape Routes. A new monthly meetup of walks in nature. Get outside and away from your desk during your working week. Walk and talk with new friends and people who live in your area. Talk about work, life, talk about anything...and who knows what will come of it....Join us on Wednesday 17th August for Escape Route Cornwall<ul><li>Time: 18:30pm (estimated walking time 30-minutes).</li><li>Meeting point: Outside The Driftwood Spars pub, Trevaunance Road, St Agnes</li><li>Route: A loop up Rocky Lane that ambles up and around to the coastal path (for a good dose of sea air), and back down to the beach. We’ll finish with a post-walk drink for anyone that wants to keep the conversation going. </li><li>Meet: New friends, old friends, those that have heard about Escape The City (and those that haven’t), people who are working in careers they care about, and people who are still figuring it out. The list could go on, but we’re confident you’ll meet lovely people and make great connections! </li></ul>This month, we’ll be piloting the Escape Routes in 5 locations (Granada, Ericeira, Cornwall, Guildford, Brighton), on the same day, at the same time, to grow a community you can walk with, all over the world.We’d love to see you there, and can’t wait to hear who you met and what you came up with on the walks! :)<h3>About Escape the City</h3>Since 2010 we’ve been on a mission to help 1 million people quit their corporate jobs and find work that matters to them and the world.
