About this course

Are you learning English as a second language? Do you love books and want to improve your English reading skills? Do you want to meet new people? If so, this course is for you.

For ESOL learners at Entry 2 level or higher, this 10 week course is designed to be a fun way to improve English language skills, as all learners read the same book together, and meet every week to discuss it in detail. The book will be of an appropriate level for ESOL learners, and the books will be provided.

The course will be held once a week at Beeston library.

What are the benefits of this course?

• You will meet new people.

• You will improve your reading skills.

• You will practise your English speaking skills when we discuss the story, the characters, and the topics included in the book.

• You will increase your English vocabulary as you learn new words, phrases and expressions used in the book.

This course aims to improve your English skills and your confidence in using these to help you to progress onto other ESOL courses.

All resources that you need will be supplied by the tutor, but you may wish to have your own notebook to work in as well.
