Workshop for ESOL teachers of learners with limited literacy.

•	Monday 25 October, 4:00 – 5:00 pm•	Thursday 28 October, 4:00 - 6.00 pmWould you like to contribute to an important Council of Europe literacy project? This is an opportunity for ESOL teachers who work with ESOL learners with limited literacy (pre-entry or Entry 1 / A0 or A1) to review and give feedback on LASLLIAM (Literacy And Second Language Learning for the Linguistic Integration of Adult Migrants) and the development of a draft Reference Guide for practitioners working with or supporting non-literate or low-literate adult migrants. The LASLLIAM Reference Guide complements the Common European Framework for Languages (CEFR) below and up to the A1 level for adult migrants, with special attention to literacy learners. The Guide is meant for designers of curricula, teaching materials, and assessment tools as well as teachers in their service of literacy-and-second language learners. The workshop (in 2 parts) will be led by Rola Naeb from Northumbria University and the LASLLIAM expert group, and will focus on the new descriptors and scales, and their usefulness and relevance to learners&#x27; lives.The workshop will take place over two sessions, online via Zoom:•	Monday 25 October, 4:00 – 5:00 pm•	Thursday 28 October, 4:00 - 6.00 pmThe sessions are open to anyone with 2 or more years of experience in working with beginner ESOL learners – Pre-Entry/A0 or Entry 1/A1. Participants should join both online sessions, and to review the draft reference guide between sessions one and two.
