Empowering you to support people who are anxious upset or distressed <ul><li>Do you work in a front line role?</li><li>Are you interested in developing your communication skills?</li><li>Do you sometimes struggle with knowing the ‘right thing to say’?</li><li>Are you interested in meeting like minded people in similar situations?</li></ul> <h3>Then this workshop is for you!</h3>This workshop is for staff in supporting roles who often face particular challenges in interactions with patients and their families. This interactive workshop will support you in developing specific skills that will help in your day-to-day work. It will build on existing skills and knowledge using real-life examples, interactive exercises and demonstrations.What will you learn<ul><li>Tips for working with people in distressing or difficult situations.</li><li>How distress can be conveyed a exploring skills and strategies for responding to emotional reactions and/or questions.</li><li>Key communication skills for conveying difficult information (e.g. cancelled appointment), including active listening.</li></ul>Learning ObjectiveThe team will use a variety of methods to build on your skills and experience through discussion and a range of activities. Please DO NOT book a place unless you have approval from your manager AND confirmation that your trust are willing to pay your delegate fees.</li><li>Once your place is confirmed, you will be notified by email. Please ensure that we hold a valid email address and mobile contact number for you.</li><li>Joining instructions will be sent via email two to four weeks before the course commences.</li><li>Payment must be made before the course commences. We reserve the right to cancel a booking in the case of non-receipt of payment prior to the first day of the course.</li><li>Maguire cannot be held responsible for any failure of delegates’ equipment or internet connection.
