Overview

Join the rangers at Riverbank Road, Lower Heswall as we watch the wading birds take flight as high tide approaches.

The rangers will be in the car park at the bottom of Riverbank Road Heswall from 10:30. We will be looking for wading birds and wild fowl seeking refugee from the high tide. We hope to see species such as Lapwing, Golden Plover, Red Shank, Pink Footed Geese and Pintail. We may even catch sight of the Marsh Harriers.

We will have a telescope set up and a couple of pairs of binoculars that the public may borrow.

You don't need to be a bird expert to attend this event, we will have staff on hand to help spot and ID anything we see so a lovely introduciton for beginners as well as experienced bird watchers to come along to.
