About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

This event will launch an ethical business working group for Devon and Cornwall, allowing the knowledge sharing of best practice, research insights and community outreach.

Ethical considerations shape everything—from organisational culture and employee engagement to business performance and customer trust. As businesses navigate the challenges of emerging technologies and AI, aligning practices with ethical frameworks is more important than ever.

This inaugural event marks the launch of the Ethical Business Working Group for the Southwest. We invite CIPD members and wider community members to join academics from the University of Exeter, as we share research-based insights on ethical business practices, drawing on the latest CIPD guidance.

Participants will gain insights into simple yet effective measures through which organisations can implement to support employees affected by negative workplace behaviours.

Agenda:

  • What is ethical practice: the CIPD view
  • Culture as a driver for ethical practice
  • The role of perceived organisational support
  • Supporting targets of unethical acts
  • Q&A/Knowledge Sharing (MENTI)
  • Co-designing the ethical agenda: topics, frequency of meetings
