Background
Join us for an evening of discussion on <A HREF="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethics_in_mathematics" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ethics in Mathematics</A>, a relatively neglected field with high potential to make tractable improvements to society. This bold statement rests on the premise that mathematicians are extremely valued by society and often end up in powerful places.

Maurice Chiodo is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at the University of Cambridge, bye-fellow in mathematics at King's College Cambridge, co-ordinator at the <A HREF="http://cueims.soc.srcf.net/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cambridge University Ethics in Mathematics Society</A>  and lead investigator of the <A HREF="http://www.ethics.maths.cam.ac.uk" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Cambridge University Ethics in Mathematics Project</A>.
