EUBeeLovers Belgian Pilot Program Launch Conference
European beekeepers and European honey - how can we preserve this sector? Policies, Markets and Partnerships for a Sustainable Future
Join us for a high-level stakeholder event marking the official launch of the EUBeeLovers Campaign pilot in Belgium, an EU-funded initiative dedicated to raising awareness of the essential role of beekeeping in Europe.
Taking place on 27 May 2026 at the Natural History Museum in Brussels, this event will bring together around 100 key stakeholders, including press representatives, farmers, beekeepers, policy officers, and organisations active in agriculture, environment, and food systems.
The EUBeeLovers Campaign highlights the value of European honey and the vital contribution of bees and beekeepers to biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience. It also aims to strengthen dialogue between key actors across the sector and foster greater awareness among consumers and policymakers.
Throughout the day, participants will engage in a dynamic programme featuring a morning press conference (11:00–12:35), a honey-themed networking lunch, and an afternoon seminar (14:00–17:30).
The programme will conclude with a networking cocktail from 17:30–18:30, offering further opportunities for exchange and collaboration among stakeholders.
The event will include stands hosted by CARI and Bees Api Bruxelles.
The event will be held in English, with interpretation provided in French (FR) and Dutch (NL).

European Beekeepers and European Honey: Policies, Markets and Partnerships for a Sustainable Future. The EUBeelovers Campaign aims to raise awareness among consumers, farmers, and stakeholders about the intrinsic value of European honey and the critical role of beekeeping in preserving biodiversity, supporting sustainable agriculture, and driving climate change adaptation. This seminar is designed for a broader, expert and policy-oriented audience. Here, we will present the campaign and expected outcomes, identifying key opportunities for collaboration. Across two panels, we will hear from policy makers, producers, and the retail sector on how we can create a resilient and sustainable honey market in Europe.
