Europe in Action Glasgow 2024 Conference will be hosted between Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th May in The University of Strathclyde's Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC), and an evening reception will be held at Glasgow's iconic Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Wednesday 8th May.

As part of Enable’s 70th Anniversary celebrations, we are hosting the first ever Europe in Action Conference to take place in Scotland, in partnership with Inclusion Europe.

Scotland will play centre stage to this global event hosted at The University of
Strathclyde’s Technology and Innovation Centre (TIC) between 7th and the 9th of May,and an evening reception to be held at Glasgow’s iconic Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum on Wednesday the 8th May.

The Europe in Action Conference and the 70th Anniversary Evening Reception will
connect self-advocates with key influencers across public, private and social sectors, to drive equity, diversity and inclusion across the continent and beyond.

As the host of this momentous international event, Enable will welcome organisations
from 39 European countries, who will share learning and discuss pioneering approaches to improve inclusion for 20 million disabled people throughout Europe.

In attendance will be key stakeholders from across Europe, including Scottish and UK Governments, influential representatives of Scottish civil society, public sector agencies, business, academia, and leaders from the third sector.

The theme of the 2024 Europe in Action Conference is Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion:

• To meet and exchange on what is happening in our organisations and countries.
• To learn from one another about how to promote inclusion successfully.
• To discuss and plan next steps in our fight for full rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

Participants discuss issues important to them and share experiences and ideas to advance inclusion.

The first Europe in Action Conference was organised in 2003 and this will be the 20th Europe in Action Conference connecting people, organisations, ideas, and places.
