Evaluating the Outdoor learning experience

Cardiff University (Sustainable Places Research Institute; School of Geography and Planning)

A one-day event at Bute Park Education centre in Cardiff. Open to people from outdoor learning organisations, including those involved in environmental management. Participants will be encouraged to consider theories behind evaluation methods and share their experiences of putting them into practice.
THE EVENT Will THREE SPEECHES FROM:
Professor Helen Lomax (Northampton University) - Visual methods for researching the outdoors
Dr Stuart Reeves (Nottingham University) - Using video to study place-based experiences
Dr Dawn Mannay (Cardiff University) - Visual methods and the everyday use of space
The event will also showcase the Toolkit for Evaluating Outdoor Learning, developed by Cardiff University.
Attendance is free and refreshments and lunch will be provided.
