<h1>Evening Walk: Aylestone Meadows On Wednesday 26 August, 6pm </h1><h1>Up to 60 minutes, medium pace </h1><h3>Meeting location will be confirmed on booking. </h3><h3>(Booking opens Monday 17 August at 9am). </h3><h3>Enjoy an evening walk in this lovely green space. Aylestone Meadows benefits from grassland and river habitats and is a great place to unwind with nature. The meadows include some soft and uneven paths, please wear appropriate footwear. This is a social walk, guided by one of our volunteers.  </h3><p><strong>Booking is essential</strong> - book via Eventbrite or phone 0116 373 7859 when booking has opened .  Places will not be available before.  Please note our phone line is answered during office hours only (Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm), not at weekends.  </p><p>If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your place via Eventbrite or contact us by phone (during office hours) to cancel your place so we can allow others the opportunity to attend. <strong>Please do not turn up at walks if you have not booked - we regret you will be turned away. </strong></p><p><strong>New Walkers</strong></p><p>If you have not walked with Leicester City Council before we will ask you to complete our Walker Registration form in advance of the walk online or by phone. You only need to do this once and can attend any of our walks thereafter (subject to booking a place). </p><p><strong>Hot weather</strong></p><p>In this weather, remember to take a bottle of water and to dress appropriately for the weather (sun hat, sunscreen etc) as there may be very little shade in some locations. </p><p><strong>Group size</strong></p><p>Group walks will be smaller than before - a maximum of 5 participants with one walk leader. This complies with current government guidance that no more than 6 people from different households can meet outdoors in a public space.</p><p><strong>Covid-19 and group walks </strong></p><ul><li><strong>Please do not attend a walk if you or someone in your household/support bubble has symptoms of Covid-19</strong>. Instead, please stay home and self-isolate. See the latest information on the NHS website about self-isolating and obtaining a test.  </li><li><strong>If you develop symptoms within 14 days of attending a group walk, please let us know so that we can contact others. </strong></li><li>During walks, we kindly ask walkers to maintain the 2m social distancing from each other and members of the public (or at least 1m if you are wearing a face mask). </li><li>Take hygiene precautions when you are outside (you may wish to carry your own hand sanitizer) and wash your hands as soon as you are back indoors.  </li></ul><p><strong>Self-guided routes </strong></p><p>If you have been unable to book onto one of our group walks, or you prefer to explore with your family or friends, self-guided routes are available to download from our <a href="https://www.choosehowyoumove.co.uk/walks/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Choose How You Move website</a> or via the <a href="https://www.gojauntly.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Go Jauntly</a> smartphone app.  Enjoy exploring Leicester this summer. </p>
