Event: Form, Forces and Fire

A free, public space for culture in the heart of Edinburgh, the Fruitmarket provides inspiration and opportunity for artists and audiences.We programme, develop and present world-class exhibitions, commissions, publications, performances, events and engagement activities, opening up the artistic process. Creativity makes space for meaning, and we create a welcoming space for people to think with contemporary art and culture in ways that are helpful to them – for free.

Fruitmarket

This is an event to mark the end of Form, Forces and Fire a five-week project devised by artist <A HREF="http://hannahayre.weebly.com/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Hannah Ayre</A>. Participants have been making handmade ceramic sculptures using a variety of techniques and ideas generated by The Fruitmarket Gallery's Damián Ortega exhibition and the local landscape.
You are invited to come a see the firing of an outdoor kiln containing the ceramic sculptures made during the project. This event will take place at <A HREF="http://www.edinburghsculpture.org/" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop</A>, 21 Hawthornvale, Edinburgh, EH6 4JT.
