The Global Mental Health and Cultural Psychiatry Group was established by Professor Nusrat Husain in 2012 within The University of Manchester’s Division of Psychology and Mental Health with sites in the UK, Pakistan, Torontoand Kenya.Our vision:Workingtowardsimproving access to appropriate mental health care for the diverse ethnic minority and other marginalised communities. Our work not only contributes to addressing the huge Mental Health Gap in low and middle income countries (LAMIC), but has become increasingly important for the optimum development of UK mental healthservices.

Come join ROSHNI2 & Lancashire BME Network to celebrate Maternal Mental Health! We are collaborating with essential partners to promote perinatal mental health through General Practice, community organisations, hospitals and midwifery and local charities. 
Let’s get together to remove barriers to the prevention, screening and treatment of perinatal mental health, alongside balancing culture because #mumsmatter!
