What can research learn from ethics in everyday life?  Drop in to explore, draw on our growing map, make badges and chat with researchers.

Join us to explore and exchange examples of ethical values in everyday life and think about how research ethics needs to change in practice. Get doodling to contribute to our growing illustrated map of ethics, make a badge and chat with researchers from across the UK. There will be short talks by co-researchers throughout the day. Morning: Bryher Bowness, Mental Health Nurse and researcher, will speak about bureaucratic barriers to involving peer researchers. Afternoon: Zenab Barry, International Development professional and NHS Peer Leader, will speak about her experience in coproduced research into maternal health inequalities. Gemma Aellah, social anthropologist, will speak on the importance of touch in everyday life in Ethiopia, and what this means for research ethics when doing action health research, especially across inequalities and power differentials. This is a drop in event, come and go as you feel. The event will be run by<a href="https://www.quahrc.co.uk/partner-with-us/quahrc-collaborations/inspiring-ethics" title="https://www.quahrc.co.uk/partner-with-us/quahrc-collaborations/inspiring-ethics" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Inspiring Ethics,</a> a group of researchers who want to reshape ethical relations in community-based research and change the models of university ethics. This event is part of the <a href="https://london.sciencegallery.com/sgl-events/experts-by-experience" title="https://london.sciencegallery.com/sgl-events/experts-by-experience" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Expert By Experience: Who Knows Best?</a> takeover at Science Gallery London.Free and open to all.
