Join us for a networking event with an inspiring talk on "Formative Assessment Strategies for Every Classroom" with Kate Jones.

Building on the influential work of Dylan Wiliam and Siobhan Leahy, this session led by Kate Jones will explore five core formative assessment strategies that are applicable across all subjects and key stages. Participants will examine how to embed these strategies into everyday classroom practice, with a clear focus on balancing research and evidence with practical implementation. The session will provide a wealth of actionable ideas, examples, and techniques to support both teachers and school leaders.The key strategies covered include:● Sharing clear learning intentions and success criteria● Eliciting evidence of student learning● Using effective questioning● Providing feedback that moves learning forward● Activating students as instructional resources and self-regulated learners Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of how formative assessment can enhance pupil progress and engagement, as well as practical tools to support consistent, high-impact practice across their schools.__________________________________________Kate Jones is a teacher, leader, bestselling author, and international speaker. She is Senior Associate for Teaching and Learning at Evidence Based Education and the author of ten books, including the popular Retrieval Practice series. She is also the host of The Love To Teach Podcast and works with schools worldwide to promote evidence-informed, practical teaching strategies.
