It&#x27;s easy to pick up and start using Excel for small data collection tasks, only to find they grow into large unwieldly spreadsheets full of inconsistencies and time-consuming work arounds.Join this session to find out how to get your spreadsheets on track and doing what they&#x27;re meant to be doing - saving you time, facilitating effective service delivery and enabling you and your team to get insight into the bigger picture.What we’ll be covering<ul><li>Adding &amp; formatting tables</li><li>Filtering data</li><li>Conditional formatting</li><li>Adding slicers (visual filters)</li><li>Calculated columns and totals</li></ul>Is this course for me?This course is for staff, trustees or volunteers of small London charities or community groups who are getting started on their data and digital journeys and want to better collect, analyse and present data to influence change.It is not suitable for people who haven’t used Excel before (we have an Introductory session for complete beginners). It is a pre-intermediate session, so aimed at people who have a basic understanding and experience of working with Excel but want to take it to the next level. There is a follow on course to build knowledge and skills further. This session is designed for people using Microsoft Excel 2016 or 2019 on a Windows PC / laptop. If you have an earlier version of Excel or work on a Mac you&#x27;ll find that some of the features we look at either don&#x27;t exist or are accessed differently.Am I eligible for this course?Priority is for Trust for London funded small charities &amp; community groups in London.Course format: Online technical group trainingThis is an online interactive live training session. You&#x27;ll take part in interactive exercises such as breakout room discussions, polls or chat conversations. You will be asked to complete individual technical tasks on your PC or laptop. You will not be able to join this training using a mobile device. It&#x27;s likely that you will need to either create online accounts or download appropriate software, which we&#x27;ll tell you about in advance. Trainer/sKate White is the Superhighways Manager, supporting small charities and community groups gain digital and data skills to help shape services and influence others.
