Excellent Women Dinner

A convivial evening of good food, drinks and conversation in the company of some of our favourite local authors

On the eve of our festival, we are delighted to be hosting our very first ‘Excellent Women Dinner’: a convivial evening of delicious food, drinks and stimulating conversation about all things books.

Each table will be hosted by a leading local author including, No 1 Sunday Times best-selling crime author, Clare Mackintosh, Sunday Times best-selling writer Lucy Easthope, The Times and Sunday Times ‘Top Pick’ author, Anne Garthwaite, fiction writer Amy Beashel, crime authors Jenny Blackhurst and Carys Green, debut author Hazel Ward, fiction author Liz Hyder, YA novelist Tess James Mackey and historian Susannah Stapleton.

During the course of the evening each author will talk about their own writing and an ‘Excellent Woman’ who has inspired them.

The evening commences at 6.30pm with drinks and canapes, followed by dinner. There will be an author book signing session and Festival ‘goody bags’ to take home.

£35 to include welcome drinks, canapes and a two course dinner.

VENUE

The Holroyd Community Theatre is accessed off the Gledrid junction of the A5 north of Oswestry and is sign posted off Station Road (left turn before railway crossing). On-site parking is available.
