<h2>Exclusions training 2020</h2>Aims of training:This training is run by ACE Education  and covers the most up to date exclusions guidance. The aim of this training is to upskill IAS workers on supporting children and their families through the Exclusions' process.Our exclusions training covers the Exclusions Guidance 2017 and we will look at -The Headteacher's decision to excludeThe GB duty to consider the exclusionThe Equality Acts duties not to discriminate with particular emphasis on disabilityIRP decision making powers and the role of the SEN expert at IRPWe will also look at temporary changes to the exclusions process due to COVID 19.This training will be delivered via Zoom. It will start at 10.15. There will be a break at 12.00 for lunch and practical work where individuals can consider some scenarios based on calls to the ACE Education advice line.Participants will then re-join the Zoom session at 13.30 to finish the course at approximately 15.15. See programme.Who can attend? This training is exclusively for IASS staff and volunteers only. Please note: this training is the same as previous training commissioned by IASSN, so if you have already attended, you do not need to attend again.EvaluationAll delegates are required to complete the evaluation form before leaving the event.Event location and timesThis training starts at 10.15am sharp and finishes at 3.15pm so please arrive for registration in good time but no earlier than 9.45am onwards, as the training will start promptly. Booking detailsWhen making a booking please ensure that you are booking as the attendee as opposed to booking for someone else – this is very important as we need to capture the individual data for each attendee. Please ensure that the correct email address (work email, not personal) is entered when making your booking as you will receive an automated email to confirm your place. If the email spelling is incorrect, you will not receive confirmation of your place and important updates. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 10 minutes of completing your booking, please contact us immediately as your booking may not be complete which could result in you losing your place on the training. Please do check your spam folders before contacting us.CancellationPlaces at this training are free. However - participants who do not turn up, OR cancel less than 2 working days before the course, will incur a charge of £100.
