Join us to celebrate the launch of our new exhibition Jennifer Vanderpool: Bread and Roses – Welbeck’s Untold Stories.

American artist Jennifer Vanderpool has covered the galleries in immersive floor-to-ceiling collages exploring the social and cultural impact of mining on Nottinghamshire’s communities. Visit on opening Saturday to dig deeper with our day of activities – including musical storytelling for under 5’s, and drinks and speeches with the artist.

Musical Storytelling

Free, drop in between 10am and 12pm

Step into our upstairs gallery for musical storytelling with Becky Bops. With guitar in hand and a room full of bubbles, scarves, and shakers, Becky will bring the exhibition to life through rhythm, movement and fun. Perfect for babies, toddlers, and anyone who loves to wiggle, giggle and sing along!

Drinks Reception and Speeches

Free, drop in between 2pm and 3pm, speeches at 2.30pm.

Explore the exhibition with drink in hand, and hear speeches from exhibiting artist Jennifer Vanderpool, and Harley Foundation Director Bryony Bond.
