How we cope with reality with the help of fiction and lies
 
Zeba Talkhani joins us with authors Meena Kandasamy and Miranda Doyle for an evening of uncomfortable truths, the lies we hide behind and much in between. 
 
Meena Kandasamy brings us ‘When I Hit You: Or, A Portrait of the Writer as a Young Wife. Informed and inspired by her own experiences, Meena’s second novel is a dazzling and provocative portrayak of an abusive marriage.
Miranda Doyle’s ‘A Book of Untruths’ is a deeply original memoir told through a series of lies. It questions the flexibility of ‘truth’. 
 
Books:
Waterstones Birmingham will be on hand so you can purchase copies of A Book of Untruths and When I Hit You and both guest writers are happy to sign books at the end of the event.
