HaluHalo invites you to join 'Curated Conversations', a series of events for mixed folk to explore their identity and experiences

How far have we come when it comes to the mixed identity/experience? Come and explore this theme with us via Zoom on Sunday 18th October.We will be joined by the inimitable feminist and political activist <a href="https://www.instagram.com/esuantsiwa/?hl=en" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Esuantsiwa Jane Goldsmith</a> - who will be discussing her recently published memoir <a href="https://www.jacarandabooksartmusic.co.uk/products/the-space-between-black-and-white" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">'The Space Between Black and White,'</a> a riveting read on her experiences growing up as ‘an only’ raised by her white working class family in 1950s England to her journey to Ghana to find her father and the missing pieces of her self.In honour of this being our first online Curated Conversations event included with your ticket you will receive a signed copy of 'The Space Between Black and White' by the author so you can delve into the book ahead of the event. And as we will be looking at the mixed experience over the decades we highly encourage intergenerational conversations, so invite along any relatives or friends who are mixed, especially of the older generation who may resonate with Esua’s story.The event will start promptly at 3pm on 18th October (a link will be sent via email the day of the event) in which over the next 2 hours we will learn from Esua the process of writing one' s story, we will have a Q&A session and then go in depth in group discussions on the themes covered in the book.We cannot wait to connect with you all next month and hear all your thoughts and opinions.*Please note that tickets include postage for those based in UK (the book will be sent to the shipping address you give at checkout.)
