Experience Community ramble Slaithwaite to Standedge Tunnel, Marsden
We will be leading a Social Ramble along the tow path from Slaithwaite to Standedge Tunnel, Marsden
We will be running a social ramble from our Experience Community office to Standedge Tunnel, Marsden.
We will meet at 11 am for an 11.30 am start. There are a few parking spaces at the back of our office and 3 Blue badge spaces in the New street car park and there is an accessible toilet in the office.
This will be a socially paced ramble of around 3/4 hours long with opportunities to stop for a break or take photographs. We will stop to have a packed lunch so it is worth bringing food and drinks.
There is a visitors centre near Standedge Tunnel run by voulunteers where hot drinks and cakes can be purchased and an accessible toilet is available for use and also closer to Slaithwaite is Zapato Brewing which also offers hot drinks and has a accesible toilet.
Please check the weather and dress appropriately.
People who use other types of off-road mobility equipment are welcome to join the ramble, however, the route has only been checked using a Mountain Trike and access cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us to discuss this prior to booking.
If you have never tried a Mountain Trike before and/or have never attended an Experience Community ramble before, please contact us at info@experiencecommunity.co.uk before booking a space on the event so we can discuss it further with you.
