It is aimed at current and future education professionals in Slough, particularly teachers and early years practitioners.We have a strong and vibrant education system in Slough characterised by good educational outcomes for children and a growing spirit of collegiality andpartnership workingacross schools and between schools and the LA.We hope that the Link will become a powerful tool to strengthen the education system in Slough by supporting the communication of education priorities and facilitating collaboration across schools and settings.  Please visit our website for further information.

Join our event created by Jatinder Matharu to  offer experienced DSLs and DDSLs with a refresher on  keeping children safe in education.

This event has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council&#x27;s Jatinder Matharu, Education Safeguarding Professional, aimed at all Designated Safeguarding Leads from Slough Schools.Experienced DSL training offers experienced DSL’s and DDSL’s with a refresher on key messages including updates to Keeping Children Safe in Education (2020), mental health, online harms and criminal exploitation of children. AimBy the end of the course you will have increased understanding, knowledge and confidence to carry out the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) in line with KCSIE 2020 guidance.Learning Outcomes Delegates will have increased awareness and understanding of: <ul><li>The roles and responsibilities of the DSL and support for DSL’s to adapt to the changing landscape of safeguarding</li></ul><ul><li>Identify legislation and guidance pertinent to your role and recognise good practice</li></ul><ul><li>Understand wider contextual safeguarding issues and create a culture of safeguarding within your school. </li></ul><ul><li>Understand and effectively contribute in multi agency systems and processes to safeguard children</li></ul>
