An Introduction to Rewilding FREE EVENT

Join us on 26th September for a thought-provoking talk on "An Introduction to Rewilding”, led by ecosystem health scientist Dr Karen Blackport, who is CEO of Borders based rewilding charity Bright Green Nature and Co-Convenor of the Scottish Rewilding Alliance.

This session will explore what rewilding really means, how the term is rapidly evolving to become a mainstream concept and how it applies to Scotland’s unique rural and urban landscapes, history, and land-use traditions. We’ll look at the principles behind rewilding, discuss its ecological and cultural relevance, and consider the opportunities and challenges it presents here in the Scottish Borders and beyond. Whether you're new to the concept or looking to deepen your understanding, this session will offer a grounded, practical overview of rewilding in a local context.

Tea/ coffee and refreshments will be available.
