What does ancestry mean to you? Join us for a creative workshop where we will explore our understanding of ancestry through collaging.

Whether you have deep knowledge of your ancestry, or are exploring it for the first time, this workshop is a chance to reflect, learn new perspectives, and share your stories in a collective space. The workshop will combine group discussions with creative collaging to explores different aspects of ancestry.

This will be a small group workshop to allow you to share your stories comfortably and listen deeply. All materials will be provided.

This event is pay what you can sliding scale (£5 suggested, payment on arrival).

This event is hosted by Madina, a researcher and community organiser working at the intersection of science, health and social justice. Her practice revolves around a central question. How can we learn together, and act together to build more just and liberatory futures? She has channelled this question into creating spaces for storytelling, community building, and activism.

Venue and accessibility info:

As you enter the studio, there are storage racks for shoes, coats and bags. Please remove your shoes on the black mat before entering. There is a kitchen where you can fill up your water bottle and store drinks and snacks in the fridge. There is also a bathroom available.
