Join our live event with author Katya Balen on exploring change and resilience, as part of Scottish Book Trust's Inclusive Stories Festival.

We are very excited to announce a live digital event with Katya Balen, focusing on transition, neurodivergent characters, and her novels The Space We’re In and October, October. Katya is an author and co-founder of a charity that uses creativity to work with autistic people. In this special live event, Katya will explore change , transition and dealing with challenging situations through her books. This event is aimed at children aged 12+ and will be perfect for encouraging resilience and growth mindsets.The event will be held on Microsoft Teams, with a link to access the live event circulated to registrations in advance.Our Inclusive Stories Festival is taking place digitally from Monday 12 April to Tuesday 11 May. The festival will feature a series of fully funded digital events with a range of authors, illustrators and storytellers to inspire a love of reading and stories for all.The festival is open to schools and families, and there will be variety of live and pre-recorded events to tune into. All the festival events are linked by the theme of inclusion, and some of the events have been designed especially for young people with additional support needs.
