Description

Exploring Community-led Housing: Workshop

Monday 13th November: 5.30-7.30PM, Norfolk House, 433 Silbury Boulevard, MK9 2AH

Jointly organised by Future Wolverton and Community Action: MK, this taster session is designed to explore current interest in community-led housing initiatives such as co-housing and community land trusts, and to consider the opportunities that might exist in Milton Keynes for local people to take the lead in addressing their own housing situation.

The workshop will feature a national overview of Community-led housing initiatives, an insight into the self-built/ community-led housing movement in Milton Keynes and other local case studies, including Still Green Co-housing and Elderflowers.

We will also hear from special visitors from Cambridge, including Frances Wright, a local resident involved in the K1 at Marmalade Lane, Cambridge first co-housing, and Jonny Anstead, Director of Town developers.

Spaces at the workshop will be allocated on the first come first serve basis, so please book asap!

Refreshments will be provided.

If you have any questions about the workshop, please contact Anna Klis-Davies on: anna@communityactionmk.org or call 01908 661 623.
