Exploring Libido: A Masterclass

Exploring Libido: A Masterclass

BA15 2PBBradford-on-Avon, England
Friday, May 22  •  10 AM - 4 PM
Overview

Create safe spaces for clients to talk about libido! In-person [max 12] meaning, impacting factors, blocks and experiment through role play.

Exploring libido: A Masterclass for Therapists
  • What is libido?
  • What might conversations about libido bring to clients?
  • What blocks therapeutic conversations about libido?
  • How can I support clients talking about libido?

Libido related issues are the most common presentation in my psychosexual therapy practice. Yet sexual libido is not frequently discussed in the general counselling and therapy world. This is a masterclass [maximum 12 participants] exploring the meaning and multitude of factors influencing libido, and how to include it in client work. Factors: relationships, attachment, personal space, excitement and play, hormones, and much more.

In this masterclass, as well as exploring libido, we will consider, and experiment with, simple ways to create a space for clients to talk about their relationship with sexual libido.

Relationships and sex are universal, fundamental aspects of the human condition, relevant to the lives of all. They are vital elements of therapeutic casework. The world health organisation recommends a sex-positive approach, which views sexuality as “a universal human experience and an important aspect of overall psychological health, quality of life, and relational satisfaction.”

Date Friday 22nd May

Time: 10am - 4pm

Cost:  £99 [£85 earlybird until 25th March 2026] Cancellation policy: Advance payment for the masterclass is non-refundable. If the masterclass is cancelled for any reason your full fee will be refunded.
