Exploring Multilingual Leicester

Join us to talk about multilingualism in Leicester. Leicester is known for its diversity and its multiculturalism, but our focus is on its linguistic diversity and what this means to the city and its people. Which languages are spoken in Leicester? How do people feel about their multilingual background? How do parents experience raising their children with two languages or more? Is it important to have access to heritage languages in schools and how do schools deal with students’ linguistic diversity?
These are some of the key questions we will address with a panel of expert speakers and a Q&A session.
