In this workshop we will explore and unpack the beginnings of accountability, what this means in reality and how to embody practices of calling in ourselves and those in our communities.
With so much harm happening on the global stage as well as in our everyday lives and communities, fostering practices of true accountability and calling in strengthens our ability to show up for each other in compassionate and real ways.
This workshop will look beyond theory and will focus on starting to look at tangible tools in being held to account.
While we will be exploring accountability and calling in through the landscape of male violence and misogyny, the workshop will incorporate exploring forms of harm outside of these two experiences.
We will discuss the different approaches to both accountability and calling in, when to use them and look at how to hold ourselves and our communities to a higher standard of integrity and care.
Who we are:
SLEEC is a survivor led organisation that changes conversations, supports survivors and works to dismantle the roots of male violence. We fight for collective liberation and for those with lived-experience of trauma, harm and oppression to inform and influence all work on misogyny and rape culture, across the UK. We exist to find real ways to end male violence and misogyny on a national and international level. These problems are complex and messy and there are no simple answers, we need people unafraid to go deep.
This workshop is being offered for free, but please donate towards it if you are in a financial positon to do so. Any donations received will go towards paying workshop expenses and ensuring SLEEC can continue doing their great work.
