Join us for a one-hour webinar to hear the outcomes of phase one of the SBRI-funded study: Validation of a Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Device (Nettle™) to Manage Symptoms of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). This project, led by Dr. Paul Faulkner at Queen Mary University of London, was a part of an SBRI Women’s Health Award-funded initiative aimed at improving the mental health of women living with PMDD.
What to Expect
This webinar will provide:
- Insights from Samphire Neuroscience, the developers of the Nettle™ device, including background on the technology and its potential.
- An overview of the phase one study findings, which aimed to validate the at-home use of a novel transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) device termed Nettle™ to alleviate the physical and mental symptoms of PMDD.
- A lived experience perspective from a participant in the study, sharing their personal views on using the device.
- Reflections from the Health Innovation Network South London (HIN), which facilitated a roundtable discussion exploring the clinical need, benefits, and barriers to adoption of the Nettle™ device within NHS services.
This session is ideal for clinicians, researchers, mental health professionals, and anyone interested in innovative approaches to managing PMDD.
