The event will bring together parliamentarians, British manufacturers and exporters, and experts in international trade and European regulation to discuss Exporting after Brexit. Panel speakers already secured include:
- Lesley Batchelor OBE, Director General of the Institute of Export
- Richard Corbett MEP, Deputy Leader of the Labour Members of the European Parliament, and author of "The European Union: How does it work?"
- William Butler-Adams OBE, Chief Executive, Brompton Bicycles
- Arne Mielken, Senior Trade Specialist, Amber Road
The discussion will be chaired by Chris White MP, Chair of the APMG, Member of the BEIS select committee, MP for Warwick and Leamington.
The event will examine:
- the effects of Brexit on British manufacturers, particularly around exporting and importing, cross-border supply chains, and international trade.
- the role of the European customs union
- the potential effects of the withdrawal of tariff and non-tariff benefits of EU membership
