Extended laboratory tours of UCL Biochemical Engineering Pilot Plant facilities

We use biological products in many forms in our daily lives, from medicines and vaccines, alternative fuels, industrial enzymes all the way to alternative meat products.

All these start life during a discovery phase developed in biochemistry labs. But to turn them into products that can be widely used in society they all have to be moved into manufacture. This is done largely by Biochemical Engineers.

Visit the UCL Biochemical Engineering Pilot Plant labs where we take small scale discoveries all the way to large scale manufacture.
