FAA Food Safety in Catering Certificate Level 5

A one day course providing an overview of health and safety for those working in the catering industry or other food handlers.

This course is delivered at a reduced rate in partnership with EDPR, helping to support local communities and businesses across the Isle of Skye.

The course is made up of theoretical sessions delivered by your instructor, who will provide a detailed course programme. A range of subjects are covered that will enable you to understand:

• How individuals can take responsibility for food safety

• The importance of keeping him/herself clean and hygienic

• The importance of keeping the work areas clean and hygienic

• The importance of keeping food safe.

Cancellation Policy

UHI North, West & Hebrides reserves the right to cancel or defer the dates of the courses.

In the event of UHI NWH cancelling a course, delegates will be deferred to another (scheduled UHI NWH) course or given a full refund if UHI NWH are unable to provide a course on dates suitable to the learner.

In the event of cancellation of a course by the delegate, business or their representative, the following charges will apply:

More than 28 days notice – 0% of course fee charged

15-28 days – 25% of fee charged

7 to 14 days – 50% of course fee charged

7 days or less – 100% of course fee charged
