Future Advocacy

We're looking to bring together young people of colour to discuss the pros and cons of police-use of facial recognition technology.

Newspeak House

The Metropolitan Police have begun deploying controversial facial recognition cameras across London. Future Advocacy, a think tank focused on artificial intelligence and emerging technologies, is currently exploring the potential implications this may have for people of colour and religious minorities. Studies have found that facial recognition technology can often result in discriminatory outcomes for individuals with darker skin.As part of our research, we are looking to bring together young people of colour at a workshop in East London to discuss their views on the technology.
