Gain insight into facilitation techniques, strategies for engaging diverse groups and the confidence to lead dynamic sessions.

This course is perfect for new facilitators or those wanting to polish their skills, offering a journey from basic principles to advanced facilitation techniques. Participants from various sectors, including homelessness and voluntary sectors, will find this training particularly helpful in improving their ability to lead engaging and inclusive sessions.

By completing this course, participants will gain a thorough understanding of effective facilitation techniques, strategies for engaging diverse groups, and the confidence to lead dynamic sessions.

Who is this course for?

  • Staff, team members and managers from homelessness organisations who facilitate small and/or large groups
  • Staff from other sectors who are currently responsible for facilitating groups and want to further upskill
  • Professionals whose role involves facilitating, for example: team meetings, chairing events, conferences, training, Q&A sessions, planning meetings, team building events, etc.

What will you learn?

Through this course, you will:

  • Understand the core principles of facilitation, focusing on creating inclusive environments
  • A greater understanding of the facilitator's role
  • Gain skills to ensure that every participant feels engaged and valued
  • Explore a range of techniques to enhance participant engagement and interaction
  • Learn to customise your facilitation style to meet diverse needs and refine your approach through feedback

Duration

10.30am-4.30pm

This session will take place in person. Slides will be sent electronically.
