Facing Depression Together Awareness Day

An opportunity to learn about depression from a clincial, personal and pastoral perspective, and how the church can be a good neighbour to those living with depression and their families
This free event is open to anyone whol would like to attend.
Speakers on the day will be:
Dr Gary Sidley, a former Consultant Clinical Psychologist, will give a clinical perspective of what depression is on easy to understand terms.
Danny Sculthorpe, a former Super League rugby prop forward, from State of Mind, will give a personal perespective of living with depression.
Stephen Normanton will give a pastorall perspective on how churches can include and support people with mental health conditions.
MFATS (Misery For All To See) a theatrically based organisation that raises awareness about mental helath will challenge stigma
Rosa Trelfa, PeerTalk Director, will give an introduction to PeerTalk which aims to establish a national network of volunteer facilitated peer group support meetings for individuals who live with depression and their families.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Located between Liverpool and Manchester, The Centre is easy to access and just minutes from Warrington, the M6 and M62.
Rail links are also on the doorstep and there’s complimentary car parking for up to 140 cars
Are there any costs?
The event is free to all those attending, and includes a buffet lunch.
