Fairness Taskforce: Financial Resilience
Working with Neighbourhoods to build Financial Resilience
Wednesday 28th January
Doors 8:45am
Prompt start 9:15am
Finish 1pm
Lunch and networking till 2pm
Join us for the first Taskforce of 2026 with a focus on improving the financial health of our communities. Finances are personal and important to everyone, but we simply don't talk enough about money and household finances and their impacts on poverty.
The session will focus on helping to shift away from crisis culture to prevention by building financial resilience in our communities across Luton and co-producing solutions to support improved financial health. The outcome of the Taskforce will aim to strengthen community financial resilience, building shared strategies and action to support those who need help in Luton, and improving financial educational across the wider population.
The session will explore:
- Debt Reduction and Crisis
- Income Maximisation and early intervention
- Knowledge and skills and prevention
Following on directly from the Taskforce there will be another round of Innovation and Collaboration funding pilots with the criteria building from discussions at the event. To be eligible to apply for this funding you need to have attended this specific Taskforce.
If you have any questions or require any reasonable adjustments please email us at: communityevents@luton.gov.uk
