Fairy Workshop

Our  community garden is open 24/7 for all to enjoy. It  has been designed with access for the less able bodied with a central seating and raised flower bed area planted with tactile and perfumed plants and herbs. Additional seating and picnic tables have been installed and you can take a walk through the trees along a woodland path to the owl sculptured  tree which has a fairy door, and is surrounded by fairies and ornaments the children like to play with.Children also make a bee-line for the pond to spot tadpoles and frogs if lucky! We have many areas in the garden including a rockery, herbaceous border fernery, an orchard planted by school children, a wildflower bank and a 'bee bed' with plants they can feed from.Community beds have been created tended by local schools, clubs and organisations.The garden has become a place where all ages meet up to chat, picnic and play. It has received many accolades and rewards principally from the RHS who have awarded it its highest accreditation of 'outstanding' for the past 7 years.

Mix potions, sprinkle magic and make fairy wands  by the fairy tree . Workshop for children aged 3 to 9  (accompanied by adult carers).

Did you know we have a resident fairy in our garden? Some say she is the great, great niece of Tinkerbell herself. Children are invited to visit our fairy workshop, where magic muscles can be exercised and mystery mused. There will be wand making, a potion kitchen and as always our fairy tree. Children must be dressed to get mucky and be accompanied by parents for the duration of the workshop.Places are limited so booking is essential
