Family Learning Program 

Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a not-for-profit institution that exhibits, collects, preserves and researches contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora; conceives and hosts international exhibitions; develops supporting educational, discursive and enrichment programmes; encourages intercultural understanding; and strives for access for all.The museum’s galleries feature rotating, temporary exhibitions with a dedicated space for the permanent collection. The institution also includes the Centre for Art Education, the Centre for the Moving Image, and a Project Space for emerging artists. It opened to the public in September 2017.

Zeitz MOCAA

An open ended, child-led visual art workshop for children ages 3 - 8 accompanied by guardians.
Theme: “The City and the Sea” 
This workshop will begin with a narrated story. Inspired by the story, participating children and adults will first individually and then collectively construct elements of an imaginary world that, like the V&A Waterfront, is about the edge of a city near the sea.
Children with Special Educational Needs are welcome.   There will be a juice and biscuit break during the course of the workshop.
 Date: Saturday 2 March 2019  Time: 11:00 – 13:00
 
*Children under 18 enter for free but they must be accompanied by parents or guardians. 
*For parents and gaurdians, free with Museum Admission or Membership. General museum admission is 190 ZAR and can be purchased at the door. Museum membership is 270 ZAR per annum.
