WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
Snapchat is arguably the buzziest platform of the last couple of years, with 100 million of us taking to sharing instantaneous insights into our daily lives in keeping with the ephemeral nature of the app.
Once for teens, it’s now growing fastest with over 25s and older millennials, and brands are taking note. Opportunities for sponsorship have rapidly scaled, with big budgets being spent to capture the demographics in question, the buzz such moves currently bring as well as the engagement being seen. Users actively engage with Snapchat’s augmented reality lenses for a reported 20 seconds on average.
But the result is a story that isn’t really just about Snapchat anymore, rather a broader movement for the visual language of the internet, and particularly for the fashion industry. It’s raw, candid and in the moment, compared to highly polished, edited and laboured over. We’ve seen this reflected through the UX of the platform being literally copied by the likes of Instagram with its new Stories release, but the greater idea of it is also impacting things like the live videos pushing out over Facebook and the aesthetic of subsequent once ‘high-production’ content appearing elsewhere.
Over the course of four hours, this masterclass will explore everything you need to know about this platform – deconstructing why it requires a differentiated strategy, how to get the most from it and the direct ROI it could drive.
- Specialist seminar – a detailed exploration of Snapchat as it stands today, the broad aesthetic it infers and how it relates to wider industry trends, with both the strategic and operational benefits brought to light alongside relevant challenges
- Exclusive research and in-depth knowledge transfer – a unique curation of academic frameworks and actionable industry application with access to first class thought leadership
- First-hand insight - a speaker session from Harriet Rayne, who runs brand partnerships for the fashion, retail and luxury verticals at Snap Inc
- Expert AMA – an ‘ask me anything’ sessions with those who have worked heavily in the Snapchat space to date, providing an opportunity to get answers to all the questions you may have
- Insightful case studies – the freshest and strongest global uses of Snapchat to date, with learnings from outside the fashion world as well as in
- Interactive workshop – a session enabling you to understand this platform, what you should be most aware of for your business and why
