Event description

On the back of popular demand - we're back for 2019!

Through the last two events, you've been amazing, and raised £45,000 for the Felix Fund charity, supporting bomb disposal technicians and we're inviting you to proudly support this charity with another night of live bands on the 7th September 2019.

6PM: Jonny Marvel's Blues Groove Band

7:45PM: Prime Soul

9:30PM: The Chilli Fighters

11:00PM: Nashville & Jay P

The festival will consist of live music and a DJ set, with a well stocked bar, hot food catering - all in a field in the beautiful Hampshire countryside - what more could you ask for?

And all of this is to raise money for charity - so you can feel good about yourself, whilst enjoying yourself knowing that you are helping brave men and women who support all areas of bomb disposal, both overseas in war zones as well as in the UK where bomb disposal is just as relevant now as it was 50 years ago. The Felix Fund is here to help any military or SO15 (Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Unit) personnel who have conducted or assisted with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and search duties and provide welfare support and financial assistance to serving and ex-serving military and their families.

Today the Felix Fund continues to focus on mental health issues with our preventative stress training based on mindfulness. These programmes provide serving military with the tools and techniques to recognise warning signs of stress and to be able to develop their ability to relax, clear their minds and focus on positive aspects of their life. This then feeds back into a more productive and positive work and home environment. The other aspect of the work of Felix Fund is financial assistance to serving personnel, veterans and their dependents, when they find themselves in times of need. This help is wide ranging from hydrotherapy treatment for a former soldier suffering from PTSD and sleep deprivation, a specially adapted buggy for the disabled son of a serving soldier to enable him to start school and go out with his family to sporting equipment for two former Sappers to allow them to train for, and compete in the Invictus Games. We have also helped with home adaptation for veterans, such as replacement windows, the installation of stair lifts and specialist furniture to ensure they are able to remain in their own homes.
